You need an account to create videos. Keep your account to yourself. You are responsible for activity that happens under it. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country).
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated plainly: you are solely responsible for the content you paste in and the videos you publish.
Do not use StoryPlay to build content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, that defames a real person, or that is sexually exploitative of a minor. Do not paste stories you have no right to republish.
Public figures and real people can be described in stories. That does not make the resulting video legal or safe to publish. Platform rules and the law still apply to you, not to us.
The voiceover, captions and any generated script come out of automated systems. They can contain errors, awkward phrasing, or wording you did not intend. Read anything before you publish it.
If our story generator cannot reach its provider, we may substitute a sample story so you are not left with an empty box. We will tell you when that happens, but check the text before relying on it.
The bundled gameplay is included for use in videos generated through the service. It is not licensed for redistribution as standalone files, and it does not imply any endorsement by or from the game publishers.
The free plan needs no payment. The Pro plan is a recurring monthly subscription, billed in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep Pro until that date, after which your account returns to the free plan and its limits.
Price changes. If we change the monthly price, we will tell you before the next charge. Your subscription then renews at the new price unless you cancel first.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your Pro access and your seven-day retention end and your account returns to the free plan. Pro is restored if the payment is retried successfully.
Refunds. Because Pro is a service you consume as it is used, we do not generally refund unused time. If something went wrong on our side and you did not get what you paid for, contact us and we will put it right.
Plan limits — video retention, concurrent renders, and maximum story length — are listed on the pricing page and may change. We will not reduce your retention below the period you paid for without telling you.
You keep ownership of the text you write and paste. You are responsible for having the right to use it.
You grant us only the narrow permission needed to do the job you asked for: to process your text to generate audio and video, to store it temporarily while rendering, and to store the finished video for the retention period on your plan. That permission ends when the video is deleted. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not resell it.
Do not use StoryPlay to break the law, to infringe rights, or to generate content that exploits or sexualises minors. Do not attempt to access other people's accounts or videos, probe or overload the service, or circumvent plan limits. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or the law requires it.
StoryPlay is provided as it is. It may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time. Renders can fail. Videos are deleted from the server one hour after creation on the free plan and seven days after creation on Pro, so download anything you want to keep. Do not rely on the service for anything you cannot afford to lose.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryPlay and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including lost profits, lost content, or reputational harm from a published video. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we store, which processors handle it, and how to get it deleted or exported. It forms part of these terms.
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. If a change affects you materially, we will announce it in the app before it takes effect.
